Advancing Internal Road Infrastructure at Ibom Model Farm
Construction of the 7.507-kilometre internal road network at Ibom Model Farm in Nsit Ubium Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, was reported to be in its final phase in an update issued by Amitec Group.
The project is designed to improve movement within the farm complex and support operational efficiency through the development of internal road infrastructure.

Progress Across Major Construction Activities
According to the company’s March 26 update, earthworks, drainage systems, and rigid pavement had been completed, while asphalt surfacing had reached 90%.
These activities form key components of road construction. Earthworks prepare the site and road formation, drainage helps manage water movement, pavement provides the structural road surface, and asphalt surfacing provides the final wearing layer where specified.
Coordinating these elements is important to the performance and usability of internal road networks.
Supporting Agricultural Development
Reliable internal roads can help improve movement between facilities and operational areas, supporting the movement of people, equipment, and materials.
The Ibom Model Farm project is associated with the Akwa Ibom State Government’s agricultural development drive under the ARISE Agenda.
Through the construction of supporting infrastructure, projects such as this can help provide the access required for agricultural facilities to function more efficiently.
Amitec continues to undertake construction and civil engineering activities that support infrastructure and development requirements.
Infrastructure that supports movement, access, and productivity.
