Progress on the Uyo Village Road Dualisation Project
Amitec Group reported accelerating progress on the dualisation of Uyo Village Road in an update published on November 28, 2025.
The update highlighted ongoing piling works for two major bridges, alongside the commencement of asphalt laying from the Calabar–Itu axis.
The project forms part of the infrastructure development activities taking place along the Uyo Village Road corridor.
Coordinating Road and Bridge Construction
Road dualisation projects involve the development of additional carriageway capacity, while associated bridge works address locations where the road alignment requires structural crossings.
Piling is an important stage in bridge construction where foundation elements are installed to transfer structural loads into suitable ground layers. Asphalt laying, meanwhile, forms part of the road surfacing process.
Coordinating these activities requires attention to construction sequencing, site conditions, and the requirements of the overall project.
Commitment to Project Delivery
In its update, Amitec reiterated its commitment to quality construction and timely project delivery.
The company recognises the importance of road and bridge infrastructure in supporting connectivity and movement. As work progresses, these activities contribute to the broader effort to improve infrastructure along the Uyo Village Road corridor.
Amitec remains focused on undertaking its construction responsibilities in line with the applicable project requirements.
Building road infrastructure for improved connectivity.
